 TECHNICAL SERVICES LIBRARIAN

The Pottsville Free Public Library is seeking a fulltime Technical Services Librarian (Cataloger).  This position is responsible for carrying out all aspects of the Technical Services Department including acquisitions, cataloging and processing of materials (print and non-print) and assisting with the provision of reference/information services.  Familiarity with the SPARK Integrated Library System a plus.

Requires a M.L.S./M.L.I.S. from an ALA accredited institution and at least two years of professional library experience in a public library.  PA State Police Criminal History, Child Abuse History and FBI clearances must be obtained prior to employment.  Within 60 days of employment verification of PA State Mandated Reporter Training must be submitted to the employer.

 DISTRICT CONSULTANT LIBRARIAN

The Pottsville Free Public Library is seeking a District Consultant Librarian (DCL) to serve the Pottsville Library District which includes 14 public libraries in Schuylkill County and 3 public libraries in Northumberland County.  The DCL provides library consultant services to Boards, Friends, municipal officials, staff and the public, promotes library development and the extension of programs and services to the District libraries, and the general public of the District.  

Requires a M.L.S./M.L.I.S. from an ALA accredited institution and at least two years of professional library experience in a public library.  Able to drive a vehicle and have a valid point-free PA driverís license, as well as own a vehicle.   PA State Police Criminal History, Child Abuse History and FBI clearances must be obtained prior to employment.  Within 60 days of employment verification of PA State Mandated Reporter Training must be submitted to the employer.
